Your cameras will be smoking busy right from the first day, when we travel from Windhoek to Sossusvlei. Stunning landscapes are populated by ostrich, zebra, gemsbok, kudu, springbok, suricate, huge social weaver’s nests, and various raptors.

We will photograph daily with many days starting before sunrise with a early morning shoot lasting until around 10:00 am. We will go out again in the afternoon until sunset, guaranteeing a minimum of seven hours of photography. Between photo sessions there will be individualized image critiques, digital workflow sessions and Q&A discussions (as requested).

Your accommodation varies from luxury hotel rooms to deluxe wilderness resorts. The Hansa Hotel at Swakopmund is one of the top rated hotels in all of Namibia. At Sossusvlei we will stay in chalets constructed from wood, canvas and thatch. Designed to creatively embrace the granite boulders, our Damaraland camp features igloo-shaped rooms, with ensuite baths, fronted by large outside decks to admire the view.
This tour will be jointly led by Mike Byrne and one of Namibia’s top guides.

The Cape Peninsula has a long and eventful history. There are about six sites where artefacts, including scrapers and fragments of worked stone, dating from this period have been found and more than a 100 sites where signs of Late Stone Age habitation (from about 21,000 years ago) are evident.

The Sabi Sand Reserve is a private game reserve, situated in the Greater Kruger National Park. The game viewing in the Sabi Sands is nothing short of sensational. Rangers can drive off-road, taking you into the heart of the bush, and lead you on guided walking safaris, tracking animals in the wilderness.

We target the big game of Africa and have chosen this time of year to photograph their babies. This will open up unique shoot opportunities! Elephant, giraffe, rhino, lions, leopards, birds and many other species will have new born young. We also add the amazing sand dunes of Sossuvlei. This will be our 12th tour to this amazing country!
